Withdraw Your Publication Against Separatists Groups In The South East Nigeria, With Special Reference To IPOB, Simon Ekpa Urges UK Government
The Spokesperson for the Biafran Liberation and Restoration, Ekpa Simon Njoku has called on the United Kingdom government to withdraw the publication made by the @UkHomeOffice on the 13th of April, 2022 where they claimed to have revised the Country Policy and Information Note (CPIN) on separatist groups in Eastern Nigeria.
The Brown-envelop Journalism Nigeria media has gone agog on the the 6th of May 2022 with a non-existent information awash all media space in the country claiming that the UK government has added IPOB to their list of proscribed organizations.
Though the British government has denied any of such insinuation through it’s High Commission in Nigeria and also aired by all the half-baked Nigeria media outlets that flooded the airspace with the unwarranted propaganda, the Biafrans are still demanding that the publication be withdrawn as the sources of information used are not reliable.
The UK government in its press release of 6th May 2022 has said that the controversial “assessment are based on a wide range of reliable sources including media outlets, UK and other governments local, national and international organizations and Non Government Organizations”
Based on the above assertion, the Biafra Spokesperson, Simon Ekpa speaking the mind of the over eighty million Biafrans Worldwide has urged the British government to withdraw the said publication as the information of cited sources are all disputable and cannot be trusted.
Earlier in a state of the Biafran Nation Broadcast on the 6/05/22 addressing the Uk government and European Union, Simon Ekpa had pointed out that the representative of the British government to Nigeria, Catriona Liang is biased in her attitude towards Biafrans and cannot be relied upon to give a favourable disposition to the people of the region.
Also, the claims of information sources from Government, local, national and International organizations and Non Government Organizations are highly biased and falsified as the Biafrans have been able to point out in several occasions.
Also, considering the fact that two sitting governors of the ruling party in the Eastern region, governors Hope Uzodimma and David Umahi in addition to the immediate past governor of Anambra state, Willie Obiano consistently said that the violence and attrocities going on in the South East are not been perpetrated by the Indigeneous People of Biafra, IPOB but by Political thugs and other criminal elements imported from other parts of the country.
Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo state, the epicenter of the whole crises had attested to the fact that over 70% of those arrested in connection to these barbaric acts are not Biafrans.
Taking to his Twitter handle again on the 7th May 2022, Mazi Ekpa did the needful by urgently calling on the British government to withdraw the said revised policy on the Separatist groups in Eastern Nigeria as it’s information sources are known for misrepresentation of facts and has been continually accused of collecting grafts from the Nigeria government to falsify reports especially on issues concerning Biafra.
According to the Spokesperson, Mazi Ekpa Simon,
“Having gone through with the highest level of scrutiny, the @ukhomeoffice Country policy & information note: separatist_groups in the South-East, Nigeria, March 2022. We are calling on the @ukhomeoffice to withdraw the note because the sources of the informations are not credible,
“Most of the references used by the @ukhomeoffice are fake news from Nigeria corrupt and uneducated journalists which has been factually debunked by both IPOB/Biafrans & Nigeria Government officials like SouthEast Governors & therefore they are not credible source of information”, he said.
